Noisemaker Effects
The 1972 MXR Distortion+ is often considered to be a fantastic, all around distortion with solid vintage tone. This is true - but it's also true that vintage models will likely cost you a kidney.
The Plus is a meticulous recreation of the vintage 1972 MXR Distortion+- right down to using an original schematic and NOS parts whenever available. It's made by hand in the USA, and is true to vintage design.
The only changes from the vintage 1972 Distortion+ made to the Plus are true bypass switching, an LED indicator light, and a 9v adapter plug. The circuit is identical to the original 1972 Distortion+, as is the layout of the Plus.
The goal of the Plus, as well as the other Noisemaker Effects Vintage Line pedals, is to bring true vintage design pedals back from decades ago and make them accessible to everyone with handmade quality, and the perfect mixture of vintage and modern design. At $80, the Plus is a true, vintage-spec Distortion+ that's hand-made for less than the price of the current inaccurate reissues. Vintage shouldn't always equal expensive, and the Noisemaker Effects Vintage Line is now available to prove it!
