Chase Bliss Audio + GoodHertz Lossy

Information

Chase Bliss Audio

made with Goodhertz

Spectral surprises.

Lossy captures the special kind of degradation that happens to digital audio when it's shrunk, transferred, and compromised.

Streaming music on a 56k modem, an MP3 ripped from a CD-R, a viral video from 2007 played through a cellphone.

All the nasty and beautiful mistakes of heavily deconstructed digital audio in an easy-to-tweak real-time pedal.

  • Deconstruct your sound in real-time.
  • Engage a unique freeze that can evolve over time.
  • Introduce sparkling artifacts, errors, and spectral resonance.
  • Spread out with a routable reverb to soften or feed the loss.
  • Lossy pedal by Chase Bliss and Goodhertz on a pink shag rug.

Goodhertz. To go.

Lossy captures the much-loved plugin from Goodhertz in a portable package, with performance enhancements, refined algorithms, and new features.

What's new? A built in limiter. Evolving spectral freeze. All Wet mode. Slow mode.

Loss x3

Explore three different kinds of loss, each with a distinct response and sound: Submerged sparkles, feathery plunks, shifting digital clouds, and much, much more.

Packets

Introduce unpredictability and motion with the Packets toggle. Simulate a bad connection with the Packet Loss option, or use Packet Repeat for glitches and transfer errors.

Shape and Diffuse

Lossy includes both a routable reverb and a very flexible filter block to emphasize, soften, and spread its effect.

Freeze. Slushy or solid?

Lossy contains a spectral freeze that can follow your playing and evolve at a speed of your choosing.

Use it as a shifting background, or resonant accompaniment, or to transform yourself into a slushy synth. Or solidify it for a more traditional, steady pad.

Lossy's various parts can be used to shape the freeze and reveal spectral surprises within.

Expand and integrate

Lossy features advanced connectivity and customization options including MIDI, CV and Expression control, presets, and internal modulation of any or all its knobs.
