STUDIO QUALITY COMPRESSOR IN SMALLEST POSSIBLE PACKAGE
CompIQ MINI Pro Compressor is a unique featured audio compression pedal, with qualities rivaled only by expensive studio compressors. It provides the amount of control and versatility needed for professional dynamic processing while preserving the warm response and transparency of analog circuitry.
ALL ANALOG AUDIO CIRCUIT
Built around a high performance Blackmer® VCA, a true RMS-level detector and FET IC's, the compressor matches studio quality warmth and transparency in dynamic processing.
MANUAL CONTROLS
Threshold, Ratio & Make-up Gain controls allow a perfect dosage of compression, which makes this pedal suitable for usage with a wide range of musical instruments.
SOFT/HARD KNEE COMPRESSION
A feature rarely available in guitar pedals, the Compression Knee permits subtle or evident audio expressions, for an endless variation of compression flavors.
DYNAMIC AUTO TIMING
Compression Attack and Release timings are automatic and dynamic. Fast transients or steady signals are each handled differently. Further, an internal jumper lets you chose from Slower or Faster response.
DRY / WET MIX
When more compression is needed, tamed frequencies can be recovered by mixing Dry and Wet audio signal, for a pristine result without phasing issues.
COMPRESSION AMOUNT DISPLAY
The exact amount of compression is indicated by an accurate and responsive 5-LED display, which takes it's information directly from the RMS-level detector.
STUDIO QUALITY COMPRESSOR IN SMALLEST POSSIBLE PACKAGE
CompIQ MINI is an all analog studio grade compressor featuring Ratio, Threshold & Make-up Gain controls, Soft/Hard Knee compression selector, Auto Adaptive Attack & Release timings - jumper settable: Fast / Slower (default) -, which respond to playing dynamics, and Dry/Wet Mix control for a perfect blend of processed and clean signal.
A true RMS-level detector constantly measures the input signal and applies accurate compression through a transparent sounding, high-performance Blackmer® VCA. The exact amount of compression is indicated by a responsive 5-LED display, for a visual feedback over how much the signal is processed. This information is taken directly from the RMS-level sensor.
The True Bybass signal routing of the footswitch leaves audio untouched when the pedal is not engaged, even if it is not powered.
Complementing Blackmer® VCA's transparency, the FET active circuitry along with WIMA audio capacitors and low tolerance passive components render natural sounding musical compressions, without coloring, distortion or artifacts. Click here for complete technical specifications.
ALL ANALOG. ACCURATE. TRANSPARENT COMPRESSION.
CompIQ MINI Pro Compressor was designed with guitar in mind, but make no mistake, it can add warmth and dynamic feeling to any audio signal, including vocals - with an appropriate preamp. The variety of instruments that can benefit from CompIQ qualities is huge: electric guitar & bass, string instruments, harmonica, brass instruments, synthesizers, etc., and all is due to the powerful manual controls, compression options, circuit design, and fabrication.
The combination of Ratio, Threshold, Make-up Gain and Dry/Wet Mix manual controls along with Compression Knee and Fast/Slower Dynamic Timings selectable options, make this tiny little box a mighty weapon of dynamic processing. You will simply not gonna find this many features and this quality of sound in such a pedal form factor, anywhere.
We prepared video demos with several guitars including acoustic guitars and explored more playing styles to reveal the musical qualities of the CompIQ MINI Pro Compressor.
