Tribute Audio Designs Big Fatty - 3 Transistor Fuzz

Tribute Audio Designs

The Big Fatty is a tribute to the much sought after Tonebender MKII, originally made by Sola Sound in the UK.

The original TBMKII was used by Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page in the late 60s and early 70s to achieve higher gain, thick and sustaining lead sounds. The TBMKII was a key to nailing those classic early Led Zep tones.

The Big Fatty uses individually tested gain selected trios of very low gain Silicon transistors in place of the original’s Germanium type. This allows the Big Fatty to avoid temperature sensitivity, and bias drift common with Germanium transistors in this circuit. Additionally, a bias control is included with this pedal to allow a range of tones, from fat juicy sustaining lead tones, to spluttering gated sounds.

If rich fat sustaining tone is what you are after, the Big Fatty delivers!
