From a gritty boost to a beautiful, singing overdrive, the Diamondback™ is a tube amp's best friend. Designed specifically to go in front of a warm tube circuit, the Diamondback™ works with the tubes in your amp to produce shimmering grit and sustain. It's almost like having another channel on your amp that you never noticed was there before. The Diamondback™ also has more top end and bite to complement warmer amps and humbucking guitars. Because of this, it works perfectly in front of an already crunchy amp to add a tight gain boost for rhythm or solos.

With it’s 3 band EQ, you can dial the Diamondback™ in to blend seamlessly with your existing tone. Also, like all of the Tortuga Reptile Series™ gain pedals, the "Venom" volume knob works as an overall volume for your tone. This way, if you have a small tube amp that just doesn't get quiet in a small room, you can back the "Venom" off and get a practice level crunch that won't wake the kids without losing your tone.

All Reptile Series™ pedals are hand built in-house by me just like the rest of the Tortuga line. I decided to apply the "one man shop" build approach to a lesser expensive yet versatile line of pedals instead of farming them out like so many other builders do.
