- This knob regulates the direct sound and effect sound. Turning it to the right increases the effect sound, while turning it to the left increases the direct sound.
- This knob regulates the frequency of the peak of an overtone. As it is turned to the right the high tone is emphasized.
- This knob is to add more range to the sound of the frequency. As it is turned to the right this effect becomes stronger.

The TXC-1 produces a clear original sound effect with an overtone; additionally, it can be made clearer effect sound by the bright control. The players can enjoy the sound of the humbacking pickup with the overtone and can compensate distorting the high tone which happens when some effecs were connected.
Using the TXC-1 as an Equalizer
When playing a guitar mounted with a humbacking P.U., for example, simply turning on the TXC-1 foot SW produces a single coil twangy tone.
- Balance: 5
- Frequency: 5~7
- Bright: 5~10
Using the TXC-1 as a Buffer (Pre-Amp)
When several effectors are connected, the treble will naturally be diminished. While many musicians use buffers or pre-amps to correct this, the TXC-1 may be used, instead, to make the most of the original properties of the guitar and effectors naturally and without any decrease in sound. The sound can be further expanded with the two Frequency and Bright controls. For example, presence (very high treble), which is lacking in normal amps, may be added to the sound and combined with distortion to create an old-type fuzzy sound. The TXC-1 adapts to any effector.
