MegaTone Pedals Classic Overdrive

The Classic Overdrive is a faithful recreation of the original Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer. We took the circuit and redesigned it to perfection. This is perhaps the best Tube Screamer clone on the market right now. We have sold countless numbers of these and all our customer's have been telling us how incredible the tone is. It can go from rich and creamy tone to all out raunchy loudness. The tone is just pure bliss , and it puts the TS-9 and TS-808 to shame. We, as well as some of our customers, have compared this to the actual TS-808, and even though the "Classic Overdrive" is a clone, it sounds much better than the real thing. This is because of the high quality components and parts we use to create the pedal. The Classic Overdrive performs exceptionally well at emulating the sounds of a tube amp. It can make a cheap, solid-state amp sound like a fully driven tube amplifier.

We also use higher quality resistors and capacitors. We use 1/8 Watt metal film resistors with a 1% tolerance for tighter and clearer sound. Whereas the real Tube Screamer's use cheaper 1/4 Watt carbon composition resistors with a 5% tolerance. We also use high quality polypropylene film capacitors that are especially made for audio applications!

This pedal operates on either a 9V battery or a 2.5mm negative tip 9VDC adapter, which is industry standard for FX pedals.

The Classic Overdrive is a must have for any guitarist looking for a pedal that provides the best tube emulation.
