Maritime Analog Bullfrog Boost

Maritime Analog

The Bullfrog Boost is a hand made Rangemaster style treble booster. Made of high quality components including a selected and tested NOS vintage OC44 germanium transistor. It is the military spec OC44 labeled CV7003 and is held to tighter specs than regular OC44's. OC44's and the CV7003 were tested together from the same batch. The ones that tested better with tighter tolerance were put aside and labeled CV7003. Includes Switchcraft jacks, Alpha pot, 1% tolerance metal-film resistors and Panasonic film capacitors. High quality parts go into every one made. Vintage style gray hammertone finish. True bypass switching with green LED indicator. 3-way switch for a midrange boost, low end boost as well as the original Rangemaster sound. It really pulls the sounds of the 60's rock and blues right out of your tube amp.

Rangemaster's and their variations have been used by some of the most iconic guitarists of recent history such as Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Rory Gallagher, Warren Hayes (Gov't Mule), Brian May (Queen), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Eric Clapton and Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) to create their signature tones.

  • Runs on battery only just like the original. It is PNP positive ground like the original and running it off of an adapter is not recommended.
  • Low current consumption of only 4mA for very long battery life.
  • The small scratchy noise when adjusting the Boost Level is normal and is common on every Rangemaster.
