This kit provides most of the materials required to construct the new "101" version of the Minimum Theremin, a simple pitch-only instrument. It is a perfect "first theremin" project for those who want to learn basic theremin principles, while enjoying the experience of building an electronics project.
The original Minimum Theremin was first introduced on "Art's Theremin Page" in 1999, and the new "101" version in 2006. Hundreds of them have been built world-over. By popular demand, this kit is now being offered by Harrison Instruments to make constructing one easy. Complete assembly instructions are included on this website.
Constructing the Minimum Theremin Kit requires soldering components and wires to a printed circuit board. We recommend this kit for builders age 15 and older who have had previous soldering experience and are familiar with electronic components and basic assembly tools.
