Escape Plan Pedals
Kiss your loved ones goodbye and prepare to get lost in the fuzzy locks of the Weird Beard.
The Weird Beard fuzz is a silicon transistor fuzz with three gain stages, bias control ('Stache), variable voltage resistance (Shave), and a variable mid scoop (Curl) for tailoring your sound. At lower gain (Whisker) settings and adjusting the 'Stache control to get the right amount of "squishiness", you can get classic '60s fuzz sounds. As you crank up the Whisker, it gets into crazy fuzz distortion territory. At max Whisker, it turns into a wall of noise, squealing like a banshee as your note decays. If you reduce the voltage to the circuit (turn down the Shave control), you can tune the gated sounds of the pedal in tandem with the 'Stache control, or throw the pedal into self-oscillation (playing with the other controls will affect the pitch of the oscillation). When bringing this pedal by for a local guitarist to try out, he commented, "man, I could spend hours dialing in and trying out different tones on this thing!"
Escape Plan Pedals use 9v center negative 200mA "Boss Style" power adapters. This pedal does not include a battery snap.
