EBS MicroBass

EBS (2009)

The EBS MicroBass active preamplifier for bass instruments is designed for use in high quality amplification systems where low noise, reliability and a wide range of useful options are required. Equipped with an ultra low noise input stage with very high input impedance, this unit maintains the natural sound of the instrument, without adding any unwanted noise. It can even be used with low magnetic field pickups having very low signal strength.

The electronics incorporate a 10-pole "piano" switch for presetting the gain and boost of selected frequency bands. This switch also controls the use of active and passive instruments and their correct interfacing with the unit.

The equalization stage provides bass and treble controls which can be configured to operate in one of two modes; standard boost/cut design or with the treble control also functioning as a reversed damped midrange control.

In the center position the tone controls give a flat frequency response without effecting the low, middle or the high frequency bands (with respect to the programmed basic sound).

Equipped with a clip, the unit will easily fit onto the belt for easy access of the controls situated at the short upper end.

The electronics and the mechanical components being used are guaranteed to be of the highest quality. The potentiometers, for example, are exclusively of the conductive plastic type, the same as those used in state-of-the-art mixing consoles for their long life and low noise.
