When an input signal is slightly delayed and reintroduced it against the original input signal while simultaneously varying the pitch by a small amount, then a chorusing effect is produced. The combined signals give the effect of two instruments playing at once - a chorus of instruments, so to speak. Unfortunately, many chorus pedals have the tendency to cut low-end frequency, leaving a thin and clinical tone.

The SCH-1 Stereo Chorus was designed to eliminate these problems and provide a rich, thick chorusing that picks up where other pedals leave off. In the current market, almost all chorus effects' circuit design are based on the Bucket-Brigade Delay-line (BBD) IC such as SADxxxx or MN3xxx series. This kind of ICs are very noisy and have poor of frequency response. The SCH-1's circuit is an newest design with newest technology. The circuit is based on the application of DSP (Digital Signal Processor) IC. The combinations of digital and analog circuit offer the SCH-1 with low signal noise and good frequency response, making it suitable for use with any instrument including Bass, Guitar and Keyboards. In addition, the SCH-1 offers a slight level boost when engaged that lets you jump out in the mix and be heard. SCH-1's two processed signal outputs provide the user with a fantastic stereo tone. The DEPTH, RATE and TIME control knobs were custom tuned to provide radical amounts of control. Manipulating them will obtain a wide variety of tones, from subtle detuning to Magnatone-like vibrato and full-throttle rotating speaker effects.

The SCH-1 Stereo Chorus is a professional stomp box with six control knobs for 'DEPTH', 'RATE', 'TIME', 'OUT1 LEVEL' and 'OUT2 LEVEL'. Additionally, it can be powered with a standard 9-volt battery or with an AC adapter( any kind of adapter with DC-9V output). SCH-1 also offers a DC output jack (in the back of the case) for the purpose of supplying DC power to other Guitar Effect. A heavy duty True-Bypass metal switch mounted on the case for toggling the effect on/off and a large red LED status indicator resides on the face of the unit. If you're looking for more from a chorus, the SCH-1 offers twice the tone of the competition!
