Critically Overdriven

The E.O.D. is an overdrive designed to provide two levels of natural sounding overdrive and transparent clean boosts.
With the “Gain” knob turned all the way down, the E.O.D. is set into clean boost mode. The desired tone can then be set to match or enhance that of your amp using the “Bass/Mid” and “Treble” controls. The E.O.D. has an amazing ability to match the tone of the amp it is being played into. The desired level of output or “Boost” can then be dialed in with the “Volume” control.

The first level of overdrive is activated when the “Gain” knob is set between 8 and 3 o’clock. In this mode the “Volume” and “Treble” controls function the same way they do in clean boost mode but the “Bass/Mid” control undergoes a change. This control converts to a symmetrical configuration where 12 o’clock represents the minimum Bass setting and rotating the dial both clockwise and counter clockwise increases the amount of Bass present in the pedals output equally. Setting the “Gain” knob beyond 3 o’clock enables the second level of overdrive to be activated via the “Aggressor” switch. Both a gain and volume boost are achieved by activating this mode.

Switching is buffer bypass.  Placing the E.O.D. first on your pedal board will  help restore signal loss experienced with long true bypass pedal chains. Additionally the E.O.D. can be used to push your existing pedals to produce more tones.

The E.O.D. is a 9 volt effect pedal and can be powered by either internal battery or power supply. A 9 volt battery is included with each unit.

The enclosure measures 5.6”x 4.6”x 1.5”and features a gloss black powder coat with orange silk screened graphics.

Critically Overdriven about v2

The E.O.D. is an overdrive designed to retain the  tonal characteristics present in  your guitar and amplifier  while providing two levels of natural sounding overdrive and the ability to produce clean boosts.

The first level of overdrive  provides access to tones that range from adding the slightest amount of dirt to the clean of your amplifier  to piling it on moderately high. This range is ideal  for both rhythm and lead situations that demand precise  control over the level  of overdrive being produced.

The second level of overdrive is activated via the “Aggressor “stomp switch.  Engaging this mode not only produces an increase in overdrive gain but  incorporates a volume boost as well. The level of gain boost achieved in this mode depends upon the position of the  “Gain” knob when activated.  Higher “Gain” knob settings will produce greater boosts in gain but activation at any gain level will result in boosting volume. This combination of features make this mode extremely useful for generating more “Aggressive” tones or boosting volume to cut through the mix for a solo. Additionally a two-way switch provides the ability to control the range of treble frequencies generated when playing in this mode.  The ability to control this high-range output enables the pedal to be tailored precisely to any guitar and amp combination.

Clean boosts are produced when the “Gain” knob is turned all the way down. The E.O.D. can then be set to either match or enhance the tone of your amplifier while applying the desired level of volume boost.

Switching is buffer bypass.  Placing the E.O.D. first on your pedal board will  help restore signal loss experienced with long true bypass pedal chains while enabling  the E.O.D. to demonstrate its exceptional ability to push your existing pedals to produce more tones.

The E.O.D. is a 9 volt effect pedal and can be powered by either internal battery or power supply. A 9 volt battery is included with each unit.
