The Distorta Destructo is one pedal by CopperGear that lives up to its name in spades. The Destructo is a silicon fuzz pedal designed using the Distorta Obscura. What makes it unique is that it lets you play around with the transistors biasing in the small range where they're just starting to turn on. The Distorta Destructo was built to truly destroy and deconstruct your sound.
The Degree(gain) knob gives you a full range silicon fuzz effect from nearly clean to scathing screech. Add to that the specially designed bias control to take your fuzz from norm to near synth like quality and beyond. Spitting, sputtering, and gate like stuttering abound. We still haven't heard all the gritty permutations this pedal is capable of, and we built the darn thing. All we can say is this pedal is down right nasty, and will take your head off given half a chance.
At CopperGear we don't try to craft any specific sound. We leave that up to you. So we don't lock our pedals down to stop them from oscillating or squealing if they're cranked or from whatever you do to them. We want you to be able to play with that grey area if you want to. Because you never know what you'll come up with.
