The official WEM Pep box reissue is an updated revised version of the original fuzz box from 1966. It uses two silicon transistors and giving a medium to high gain saturated 'garage' fuzz output.
It features carbon composition resistors, high-grade film capacitors, true bypass switching and is powered by a PP3 9 volt alkaline battery. John Lennon was famously pictured using one during the recording of The Beatles album 'Revolver' in 1966. Like the original from 1966, the Pep box comes with 4ft of hard-wired output cable fitted with a 1/4" jack to plug straight into your amplifier.
