Big Knob Pedals
Though not entirely successful in its original purpose of being a Leslie-simulator, the classic Uni-vibe rotary effect pedal became famous as an effect in its own right during the 60s and 70s, putting its stamp on classic tracks like Robin Trower's "Bridge of Sighs", Jimi Hendrix's "Machine Gun" and Pink Floyd's "Breathe". Typically Uni-vibe clones have remained in the upper brackets of the pedal price range, not partially for their esoteric design concerns involving things like "isolated light box enclosures", a circuit consisting of an incandescent lamp (not an LED) and its LDRs (Light Dependent Resistors); not the type of thing your typical pedal cloner can bang out with a few cheap components.
Because of its amazing prestige and history, I'm especially proud to introduce the "Vibe Tone", the world's most portable, most reasonably priced, most authentic-sounding (unlike some other "mini-vibe" clones, this one uses the original lamp/LDR analog design of the original Univibe) on the market today. Grab yourself a terrific value as well as an amazing new effect for your pedalboard.
Big Knob Pedals
Now fully redesigned to fit in our standard smaller enclosure, Vibe Tone retains its original authentic Uni-Vibe sound using the same vintage optical circuit incorporating 4 LDRs, just like the original units made famous by Hendrix, Gilmour, Trower and others. This is not another cheap digital simulation but an accurate representation of how the original pedals achieved their classic swirling effect.
Vibe Tone features:
- Accurate re-creation of the classic Uni-Vibe effect
- Four LDRs (Light Detectiing Resistors) like the original circuit
- Controls for Intensity, Speed and Bias
- Fully hand-wired analog circuitry
- Compact MXR-sized enclosure
- True bypass 3PDT switching
- Bright indicator LED
- Accepts standard 9V pedal adaptor
- 9V DC battery clip included
