3Xfx V1 Buzz Bomb

Controls

  • Gain
controls the input level of the effect. At higher gain settings a lot of effects can go into overdrive or distortion.
  • Frequency
controls the cut-off frequency of the filter.
  • Volume
controls the output volume of the effect
  • Frequency Knob/Photocell
selects if the Frequency knob or the photocell controls the filter frequency
  • Frequency Effect
is most effective when used with an active instrument or boost pedal in front of the Buzz Bomb. Turn it on and turn the frequency down for a stuttering fuzz effect. The notes you play will stutter in response to your playing for a totally new sound in fuzz! With the Freq. effect switch on and the frequency up you will get an octave down/ring mod type super thick fuzz effect!

The V1 Buzz Bomb is the most dynamic and expressive fuzz pedal available on the market today. It has a huge range of sounds possible, from classic 60's fuzz to raging stuttering chaos, and the best thing is that with the new internal blend control it sounds as good on bass, keyboards and vocals, as it does on guitar!

The controls are Gain, Frequency, Volume, Freq. Knob/Photocell select, and Frequency effect switch. Additional features include an internal low end blend control, true-bypass footswitching, on/off LED, and photocell control. The effect can be powered by a 9V battery or optional standard 9V DC power supply (negative tip).

The Gain knob controls the amount of fuzz. Turn it down for a more classic fuzz sound, or crank it for seething face melting fuzz! The Frequency knob controls the frequency sweep of the effect. You can use your foot over the photocell to control the frequency for a fuzz-wah type effect. The photocell allows for a very expressive fuzz sound, unlike any other fuzz pedal. The Freq. effect switch is another unique feature only found on the 3Xfx Buzz Bomb. It is most effective when used with an active instrument or boost pedal in front of the Buzz Bomb. Turn it on and turn the frequency down for a stuttering fuzz effect. The notes you play will stutter in response to your playing for a totally new sound in fuzz! With the Freq. effect switch on and the frequency up you will get an octave down/ring mod type super thick fuzz effect! The Volume control is another important feature, as this pedal can be extremely loud. Start out with the volume all the way down and slowly make your way up from there, and don't say I didn't warn you! Finally the internal low end blend control lets you blend in more of the low end dirt sound, which makes it sound great on bass, keyboards, vocals, and more!
