[interview] Langtronics: James Langton

Here's FXDB's interview with James Langton of Langtronics.

Langtronics is run by James Langton in Sheffield, UK.

How did Langtronics start?

I have been into electronics as a hobby since the age of 8. I worked as a Carpenter for a while. Then I took some Engineering qualifications and worked as an electronics engineer. Combined with my love of music, guitar, drums and keyboard playing it all came together as a logical progression. I started selling pedals about 7 years ago but had been making pedals for myself and friends for years before.

There is a big DIY community out there on the web that has been helpful from time to time. I can't pinpoint any particular individuals though.

Where does the name come from?

Langtronics comes from my second name (Langton) combined with electronics.
